You have some solid ideas but it just wont work, Bensons time in edmonton is likely done, Husso has to be getting more in an open FA market, Bourgalult wont likely make the team next year, and you dont have enough money to have some scratches in case of injury/illness. Mcloed longterm is exaclty what we need and this is a good deal. Rather have soucy then oleksiak but targeting a guy like Chychrun would be better.

Puljujarvi didn't have a poor playoff run at all. He had a 52.92 CF% (Shot Attempt Share), a 50 GF% (Goals Share), and a 59.54 xGF% (Essentially Quality Shot Share). He was also ranked first in this stat among oilers who played a minimum of 10 games in the playoffs.
