Some Speed Maybe?

Description
Players like Pearson and Toffoli both have speed, but they never got to use it in Sutter's system. Keeping them both is a must. Is Muzzin and a first enough for Drouin, lmk in the comments. I honestly think a player like Drouin can revive Gaborik, because he does have a great scoring touch. Kopitar can also go back to being the playmaker he is with a bonafide sniper on the wing. While nobody wants Brown's contract, it's not like he's a complete scrub. The guy captained two Stanley Cups. He has some value, and to be honest I think him playing with a bunch of young players (because Vegas is going to have a stockpile of draft picks) could lead them in the right path.

        Sold on the Muzzin deal.

I think Boyle will stay in Toronto. Why leave that ship about to take off, especially for the same money he will get from them. Daley has been injury prone the past few years. I think it's the last thing we need...a slow and hurt dude. and I dont think Wingels gives us a ton more than Clifford. I'd rather go out and get Hanzal and JWilliams and trade Clifford and a pick for a 5/6 d-man.

Unless we persuade (ie picks) Vegas to take Brownie in the expansion, we are stuck with him. :-(

We Will LTIR Greene and maybe Gaborik as well, which will free up some salary.

        Love, love the Drouin part.

Done deal for drouin but I'm not retaining **** on brown; I would honestly add in this 1st and next year 2nd and a prospect to get rid of that

I would've traded the first from 2018 and the second instead but I already used it with the Muzzin deal and I'm not a big believer in throwing away draft picks left and right.

I'd sign Pearson to a 6 year deal... but that's just me. I don't think the Kings should keep the contracts of Toffoli and Pearson together. It just creates a big headache with the cap.

I like more of the 4 year time frame because after those four years, Kopitar will be 33, Carter will be 36, Martinez will be 33, and it might be time to start the rebuild. So, having Pearson and Toffoli signed to similar contracts, the Kings will have a lot of options.

Or if Kopi, Carter, and Martinez all pull a Jagr and play until they're ancient, then I'd be more open to the longer contract(s).
