I'm not pretending these would be actual trades. I'm saying who would say no? Nylander instantly jumps next to Zibanajed and Keider. Lafreniere obviously has struggled but looked good in the playoffs. Also gives the leafs some space.

they both dont happen, but the Nylander one just makes no sense, when NYR already has cap problems this coming off-season. They need a 2C, whether they choose Copp or not. Nylander hasn't really proven to be capable at C, so I don't imagine NYR would look for another 6M+ winger.

Rangers would say no to both of those trades. Lafreniere improved as the season went on and into the playoffs and will be a staple of their top 6 next season. I don't think the Rangers want to trade Schneider regardless but this particular swap doesn't make sense for them. They'd just be shifting their logjam from RD to LD and Sandin would be stuck behind Lindgren and Miller.
