You've all but guaranteed not being able to sign Byram and Newhook to extensions, and the money for Mackinnon is nowhere to be found.

You can make cap relief moves for that when the time comes, for now, sign whoever you can and keep trying to win. Better to spend the cap on quality players rather than wasting it on Johnson or not using it at all. Compher, Girard and Manson are all moveable when the time comes.
