Description
Will never happen obviously, no GM would take risks like this but with the acquisition of Drouin and Patrick or Hischier in the NHL sooner than later I don't think the turn around would be that long. It's a pretty garbage roster next season but as the youth starts to be brought into the lineup things would balance out. I'd say this makes the Flyers competitive in the season after next and a contender for years down the road if the cap is managed properly.

    Ottawa is likely one of the only teams (if not only) that Giroux would waive for (Went to school there, played junior across the river, Spends offseasons there). Ottawa is also in win now mode after a playoff push so might be more likely to buy on a player that could push them over the top. I'm not sure if the money works here.

      I 100% agree that this core needs to be blown up. Giroux/Vorachek/Simmonds haven't gotten it done. Could get valuable pieces and build a true winner.
