Dont have to pay that much to dump Bailey, Pastrnak will get more but Barzal will likely get less, unless he has a 90+ point year. We would also more likely see a Pageau trade whre he waives his NTC then have Raty at center and keep Bailey IMO. 4RW will also likely be Holmstrom if we havent moved him by then. He will likely progress this season and then earn a spot in 23-24.

If Bailey is traded in the 22/23 season it will 100% cost that much if he’s traded the next season probably not. Yeah I just edited it it before you made this comment and I did a Pageau trade instead of a Clutterbuck trade, I still would LOVE to move Bailey as he’s our worst defensive player and pretty much isn’t good anywhere but inzone passing but who knows maybe Lambert can help him. I could see Holmstrom too they can definitely give him or/and Dufour a shot to make the team next year depends on how they do this season in the A

This is pretty ideal. Bailey should cost that much to move next offseason. Also the cap should increase by one mil. Than the offseason after that should increase by A LOT. Pageau or Nelson are gone. Barzal gets a little less maybe 500k-1 mil less. Pasta contract is about right maybe 1 mil more

I just cant see Lou paying a 2nd and Wilde to move Bailey. I just dont think that other GMs see him like that. Maybe moving a Bailey and Wilde for a rental at the TDL but not just straight up nothing. Maybe something like:
