Lines Due To Injuries

Created by: JMEW
Team: 2022-23 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 7, 2022
Published: Dec. 7, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Kral is also injured, so hes not an option to be called up on LD.

Put ZAR back on the 2nd line. He did pretty good there and Kerfoot should lose his chance at the 2nd line after doing nothing everyttime hes on that line.

Switch out Robertson and ZAR for a couple shifts to give Robertson some more ice-time and a chance to do something with Tavares and Marner.

I mean, that's what they just ran with in their 4-0 game... Not saying it's perfect, but its better then Kerfoot and Keefe won't play Robertson the same minutes as JT and Marner.

Huh? I watched the game and don’t remember too many shifts with ZAR / JT / Mitch? It was mostly Robertson on their line, I thought

I remember at least in the 3rd (maybe the 2nd also) ZAR got some shifts up there also and looked pretty good. I'm fine with Robertson staying on the 2nd line, but if Keefe is going to switch him out with someone during the game for some shifts, I'd much rather it be ZAR then Kerfoot.

It was mostly Robertson but in the third period when it was still 3-0 ZAR was moved up with Marner/Tavares. I am guessing for more of a defensive look to help secure the win. But it actually looked good for the short time it lasted. Could be worth doing on defensive zone draws for that line then once it hits the offensive zone doing a ZAR for Robertson line change, when able obviously..

Between injuries and line shifting, I think Keefe just looking to see what options he has.
Post TDL, I think lines should be as follows:
Bunting, Matthews, Nylander - looking good
Jarnkrok, JR, Marner - looked good b4 injury, & really doesn’t matter who plays LW given How good Marner (& JT) are
Kerf, 3C, Engvall - need to make trade, high acquisition cost, for impact 3C (O’Reilly, Horvat, Toews); we need another matchup line with some scoring threat
ZAR, Kampf, 4W- need to make trade, low acquisition cost, for heavy 4th line winger (Hathaway, McCaron); matchup forecheck cycle line

I agree with this. I just also like the idea that ZAR could potentially be put up when needed in a defensive aspect. Which you dont get out of Robertson, Engvall, Kerfoot
JMEW liked this.
