1.

    Carl Hagelin
    LAK
      Tanner Pearson

*Trade Reverted - Hags was on an inspiring deal and he was an excellent fit with Hornqvist & Malkin, but we never used them together that season; part of the problem was the JJ signing, no matter who we played with Malkin, his line would get sunken
      2.
      PIT
        Dylan Strome
        Max Domi

*Arizona gets a top player for two failing prospects (though now we can clearly see the issue is that they couldn’t develop either players)
        ARI
          Phil Kessel
          Matt Hunwick

*As much as Phil was coming off a career year, he wanted to play for Tocchet, and the league was moving away from pure attack-minded players who contribute little away from the puck

He was unsigned by San Jose is what I meant. Went to UFA.

Seems like a decent team. I like the idea of Strome and Domi coming back in the Kessel trade. Definitely could’ve used some of the youth during that time. I wished Pearson turned out good for us cause he’s a solid winger but it’s just unfortunate it never worked out. I wished Hagelin had remained a Penguin that year. I don’t think everyone was healthy around the time he was traded. If there’s a move I’d still make it’d be moving Sheary. He didn’t seem to fit that well with the team anymore. He wasn’t able to continue producing with Sid and just overall seemed to have lost his touch. I love him a lot but I felt like it was the right thing to move him.

However I’d make some fixes to the line up. Just also need to take in some considerations of who had played a good amount of games that year as well as extra forwards or just call ups.

              Jake-Sid-Simon/Rust(before McCann trade)and then McCann
              Hagelin-Geno-Hornqvist as listed
              Domi-Bjugstad-Rust/Simon
Blueger/Strome-Cullen(he still looked decent his final year)-ZAR/Simon/Rust

              Dumo-Letang
              Maatta/Oleksiak-Schultz
Pettersson/Maatta/Oleksiak-DeMelo(I don’t think anyone really paid attention to him at the time though)/Ruhwedel

              Murray

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah maybe Sheary could’ve been traded, but I feel he’d fit my team pretty well cuz he pretty much strives with high pedigree linemates, in the season that he struggled (2017/18), he was playing a lot with McKegg but elevated his play after we got Brassard.

The biggest thing is don’t sign JJ cuz well, we’re still paying for him haha. And even if he was good, 5 years for a bottom pair D is not ideal to contend in the cap era.
