Description

Leafs deal for Jakob Chycrun at 2023 deadline. They go on to win the cup which unexpectedly boosts league revenue wiping away escrow. Cap finally jumps up and Leafs take full advantage of the money available to them. Dubas is resigned and does a bunch of regular Kyle Dubas moves. Fortunately not before signing Matthews to an 8x16000000 extension on July 1. They bring back the band and resign key pieces of cup winning team. Spezza re-retires after coming back for the playoffs and scoring the game winning goal against Dallas his former team of course.

Heinen and Jankowski seem like the prototypical Dubas adds with one of them inevitably being tried in the top 6 for some reason and the other being waived some time in November only to be claimed immediately. By a team who is willing to profit off the Leafs discount contracts. Engvall gets resigned for too long for too much just to drive us crazy but otherwise the deals made over the summer are fairly good for the Leafs. O'Reilly takes the major hometown discount after founding love in a hopeless place.

I actually think there's a very real chance they buy out Murray as cap is expected to go up even more in the following year.
