Trades
1.
BUF
  1. De Haan, Calvin
  2. Grabovski, Mikhail
  3. 2017 3rd round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
Buffalo needs to "eat" a contract on the way back for this deal to work. They could always LTIR Grabovski if necessary.
2.
NYI
  1. Neal, James
Additional Details:
Signs 5 year extension, $5.5M AAV.
NSH
  1. 2017 1st round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
Neal will likely be selected by Vegas next week if left unprotected. In this scenario, they get the 15th overall pick in the draft rather than lose him for nothing.
3.
NYI
    Mikel Granlund
    MIN
    1. Dal Colle, Michael
    2. Hamonic, Travis
    3. Nelson, Brock
    Additional Details:
Lots of moving parts prior to expansion. This gives Minnesota a fallback should Brodin be taken, a 50+ point scoring 2C and expansion draft exempt blue chip prospect.
    4.
    NYI
    1. 2017 4th round pick (DAL)
    DAL
    1. Kulemin, Nikolai
    Additional Details:
Draft day trade. Dallas has the worst PK unit in the league, Kulemin can help that immensely. Hudler, Hemsky, Sharp and potentially Eakin (expansion) will all not return next season. Plenty of holes in the bottom-6 for Kulemin to dress every game
    5.
    NYI
    1. 2017 4th round pick (CGY)
    CGY
    1. Halák, Jaroslav
    Additional Details:
Calgary gets their starting goalie for a reasonable price. Only has one year left on his contract, so if it doesn't work out they can easily cut bait.
    6.
    NYI
    VGK
    1. Cizikas, Casey
    Additional Details:
Cizikas could immediately fill a 3C role and great PKer. Thought about Hickey here as well, but there will be plenty of other defenseman available at the expansion draft.

All good, except for the fact that in each trade the Isles get a little more than the other team.

Halak to Calgary for a 4th! How original! Why have isles fans been pushing their best goalie out the door for 2 straight summers now only to Calgary and only getting a 4th back? Whatever, they have Smith now so maybe the madness can stop
