It is touch but can't buy a stanley cup team. Need to start from scratch.

Problem is this year you cant do that with veteran contract terms. You literally have to run it back with this squad, next year is when you can dump a trouba easy

Play the kids. Don't need to make it fancy on paper. And if it doesn't work then they have high draft pick next year. And will be able to start trading away some contracts.
