Description

Dallas is looking for a top 6 forward to jump right into their lineup. Nyquist for Niemi is the obvious salary for salary. Frk was a pivotal player in Grand Rapids, apart of the core that won the cup. Cholowski was Detroit's first round pick from last year and one of their top D prospects. Dallas gets immediate help in their top 6, gets rid of one goalie contract, and inherits two top prospects and a third. Detroit gets another pick in the top 10 where they can fill their need at defense and offensive scoring while Niemi provides a potential 1A, 1B goalie scenario for next year.

I kinda liked that, since Stars needs a decent forward. Not quite sure though is Nyquist good enough. But in the other hand that trade was quite good.
