A team that has J.T. Compher and Alex Newhook in its Top 6 is not cup bound and this doesn’t address the absolute barren depth that doomed the Avs this postseason.

You only have a 20 man roster with no healthy scratches. Most teams will carry a 23 man roster which is the most players you can have on a active roster. You have enough cap spcae to sign one player for a healthy scratch. You'll need to re work your contracts to find an extra 1.5M for your full roster. I think Newhook will sign cheaper but Byram more expensive ( honeslty swaping those contracts would be more realalistic imo). Also still haven't addressed the main concern from last season which is our 2C position, compher played well but not well enough to be a 2c.

In what world does NEWHOOK aka new jost get more than Byram?
