This doesn't look like a contender team anymore and don't think any FA will help without breaking the bank. :( Hope I'm wrong.

Well, I can assure you they will spend most of the $5million left in cap on something. This team will not stand pat with last year's crew. Not that they can do alot, but they'll do something. My hope was they would Muzz or Amart to Tampa for a guy like Tyler Johnson, move Carter to RW, sign a guy like Engyland or Alzer and a low risk center like Dominic Moore or Brian Boyle to captain the 3rd line. We'll what they do.

I wouldn't mind Johnson, which would create Carter to go back to his natural wing position. But they would have to do a sign a trade I think. Feel a lot more comfortable giving away a guy like Amart if he's signed already. Giving away our D like that with Johnson signed kinda got me feeling weird about it even though he's a RFA. Between the Muzz and Amart, I just think it was an off year. Even though Amart can play on his off side, I think that was a huge issue. We saw him being beat a lot and exposed Muzzin to do to much. I'd love to see Muzzin and Doughty paired back together for long term. We shall see, another piece may be needed back there. Looking forward to see how training camp goes and if Oscar Fatenburg can make the team. KHL all star, but khl and NHL are two different monsters.

Also, how Blake handled the Toffoli and Pearson contracts made me feel a lot more optimistic about him handling contracts. Those were absolute steals.
