That is not getting it done for Toffoli. Maybe if you took Toffoli out, you could get that deal for a Goodrow dump.

I'd assume thats what the 1st is for. Edstrom is meh, but you're getting a 2024 first.

Goodrow won't require that much to get rid of. Even with a 1m cap jump, the rangers can easily buy him out, and he is an NHL player, and only slightly overpaid.
The only issue is his NTC.

Toffoli immediately becomes the best RW on NYR. For a one year rental at 50% retention a late 1st or two 2nds is fair value. Goodrow is likely viewed as a liability. Edstrom is a low value prospect. If Conroy views Goodrow as a liability like he should, Drury will have to add more.

He's absolutely not better than kakko. He had a fluke year last year. Kakko is already better.

That must be why Toffoli outproduced him by a massive margin in both overall (33 pts.) and relative rates at 5v5 (.7). Toffoli is also sound defensively. No one is paying a premium for your 3rd liners.

Look at even strength production. AND toffoli has had only one other year where he's gotten past 50 pts. The past season he was playing with lindholm, he's not playing with Mika.

The difference is .8 at ES lol. I used 5v5 to make it more favorable for Kakko.

Ok and now kakko is 22 and Taffoli is 31. Kakko can continue to improve. Taffoli isn't going to improve. He also just had a career year by 15 points. The odds of him repeating it are minimal.
