how is this a troll? we have cap space to taek on those ****ty contracts for a year and theres not shot the preds make it past the 1st round if even make the playoffs?

****ty contracts aren't ones that expire in a year, on a rebuilding team, who doesn't need to move them... MTL has no reason to do this and in fact are probably looking to take on a ****ty contract for a pick. Both of those players 50% retained bring in, at minimum, a later round pick so long as they stay healthy (much to the disbelief of many of the resident trolls on this site). OR MTL simply waits them out and they expire after this season and we get to keep our picks.

Any way you look at it, MTL is not paying to move contracts with their current composition.
