2024 trade deadline

Created by: Logan03
Team: 2023-24 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 28, 2023
Published: Jun. 28, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is just based off who we currently have and it’s a guess. It’s hard to predict because you don’t actually know the season these guys are about to have nor do you even know if they’ll be with the team or if these teams even are in playoff positions to buy at deadline. Or if these guys will even have cap space to acquire certain players. They’re just fun ideas I’d be shocked if Chicago made 7 trades lmao

Hawks fans: it is OK to hang onto players and trade for things other than draft picks! You probably aren't going to need those extra few 4th-7th rounders when you have 18 picks over the first 3 rounds in the next 3 drafts!

That’s what I’m saying though if he has a good season that we haven’t even seen yet he may be worth the 2nd.

I traded for prospects too. But at the deadline for expiring contracts it’s better to get late draft picks than nothing. Need them or not we don’t NEED to lose UFA’s for nothing either.

So you somehow bet a second round pick on a 35 year old having a career year that we haven't seen before? I'll take my chances with the pick thanks.

Heh, I was just joking after looking at the CHI draft pick haul. But what particularly caught my eye was the proposed Foligno trade. You guys brought him there and overpaid him for a reason, and it isn't because you thought you'd be able to flip him at the deadline. I'd be surprised if anyone wants him at 2m this year given the cap situation and the role he plays these days.

I mean why not flip him that’s what we’ve been doing, flipped Domi at deadline, few players need 2nd chances and Chicago gives them the minutes than increases the value to flip them. Laf, McCabe, fluery are guys we flipped after bringing them in for less. Plus it isn’t the craziest thing I mean people wanna take hall from us when we got him for a reason. Idk about folingo

If he has 40+ points and nucks need a vet forward to fit in top 9 and PK. It’ll be no less than a 3rd you being awfully stingy about picks when your team needs to start pushing for SOMETHING. I mean unless you wanna be mediocre forever I don’t care man😂 you forget you don’t have the brightest management out there either. Not to mention a career year isn’t what he’s gonna have but he’s been good before maybe you forget 70+ point season he isn’t gonna have that but cmon bro.
