The hope is atleast one of Foerster/Brink make the team out of camp. an atkinson-cates-foerster line would be really good for him to start at, has vet presence and a solid 2 way C. That all hinges on Coots being healthy enough to be the 1C or 2C. Id like them to take a shot on Ethan Bear at RD hes young enough to be apart of the future but i dont think thats likely. Id definitely pair one of attard/grans with Staal as the bottom/pk2 pair whoever wins the spot out of camp. id like them to get a steady rhd somehow to help york out they cannot pair him with risto. Sign simmonds as a depth fw/farewell tour, he was beloved in philly it would be fun to see him back in orange and black. TDL id think konecny/laughton/staal/hathaway/walker would be on the block for draft/prospect capital. Tho if they go most of the season with this lineup and stay relatively healthy i dont think this team would be in the running for a top 3 pick and wed be in the 7-12 range of the draft. Now if Couturier/Atkinson arent healthy that changes a lot and if they make a few moves at the deadline to contending teams they would be bottom 5. Either way its gonna be a long season. get rid of torts after this year for when cutter comes next season. the goal should be suck this season, next year semi competitive and gear up for michkov arrival in year 3 and have a competitive roster.
