I highly doubt they signed all those vets just for them to play in the AHL. Othmann and Cuylle will/should spend the year in the AHL with big minutes

Zac jones is likely traded if he doesn’t win the 3LD spot

KAM would be closer to $3m if a 1 year deal

Laf & Miller are arbitration eligible next year. Signing them both to one year contracts to bring them both to arbitration would be a mistake.

Their extensions would be signed in January before they can get to arbitration

Jones needs waivers to be sent down and he would 100% be claimed and they lose him for nothing

My hope is that Laviolette is more inclined to roll four lines rather than wearing out 1/2 which probably had an affect on the top two under performing. As far as Jones is concerned, I have him on the roster for that very reason. If he doesn't perform as we all hope, he will lose his trade value regardless and might clear waivers. The Rangers don't need a Fox clone
