Too much money for Ferland. I think Brad learnt from the Bouma contract. Bridge contract 1-2 years for Ferland to prove he can keep up with what he is doing.

Like the idea of Yak but at 1.5 million or less on a 1 year show me deal. Could be a huge win if he can play with Johnny and Monny if not no issue on a 1 year deal.

Have to lose Brouwer which would allow Calgary to resign Stone for the 3rd pairing. I like Anderson but think he is still at least 1 year away from steady NHL time. Great call up though.

Ferland has arbitration rights, so we'll see if it comes to that for deciding his next contract. I would say that CGY is interested in extending him for 2-3 years around $2M as an upper limit. Not sure his camp has enough bullets to warrant the contract shown above.

There are some good known comparables out there for Bennett's contract, and it should land him around $2.75M / 2-3 years, unless CGY wants to try to go longer term.

Think Versteeg comes in around $2.5M as well (3 years).
