I would have Eller 3C and Burakovsky 2LW/ Marjo 2RW. Tom Wilson 3RW. IMO.

DeHaan probably commands closer to 3M in such a thin market, but RFAs are so hard to predict. Chorney has upside as a 7, but give him regular time and he'll get exposed.

Grubi bailed the Caps out of a lot of poor efforts last year behind a very decent blue line. With only 4 NHL caliber D in front of him, Copley will be close to doubling Grubi's 2.2 GAA when he spells Holtby.

You're already at the cap without a 13th forward or 7th D-man.

Don't hate the trade though.

The Islanders have zero need for Grubauer. Greiss and Halak will battle out the starting job and NYI has Sorokin and Soderstrom in the pipeline. De Haan is incredibly valuable, especially after the Hamonic trade. I expect he will be locked up long term very soon. If you really wanted to convince me to trade him, swap Grubauer with Burakovsky in a straight swap. Or, De Haan plus the lower of our 2018 2nds for Johansson

De haan has nowhere near the value burakovsky has, you just valued Johansson higher then him, point proven. Halak is garbage and greiss is a fringe goalie. You can't make the playoffs with them

Did you forget we already did? Actually, we've gotten as far as Ovi ever has. And yes, Johansson > Burakovsky that's why I added a draft pick. Crazy concept paying extra for a better player right?

If you honestly think the islanders can do something now with those two goalies you are just proving my point, burakovsky is a future star Johansson had one good year. So if your willing to over pay like that for a streaky player then all the power to you, grubauer is better then both your goalies and you need to make moves to better your team because your captain is on his way out if not

Future star hasn't even broke 40 points on a season. I'm not saying Grubauer is a scrub but he makes no sense on this roster.

Not everyone can come out at have a Matthews season in there first full season, he has 35 points last year, he's a lot better then Johansson. You could get something for greiss and have grubauer and halak, that's a better duo then what you have now plus cheaper for when you have to overpay jt to stay
