This is literally what I expect to happen and was going to post an AGM but don't need to now.

I might try to waive McMann and sign Noah Gregor for $800,000 for 4LW

I personally would put Reaves on waivers for the first bit. That would allow you to let Gio and Gambrell or someone else as an extra.
You could then run your bottom six like this
Domi - Kampf - Jarnkrok
McMann - Gambrell - Lafferty
Or some combination like that.
Then those games you need Reaves, you can waive Gio and whoever else depth forward and put him in.
