Description

The Leafs clearly need another game-changer on D. You could easily argue that the Sens have 3 defencemen who are all better than our best defenceman. Hanifin is the most ideal target, but it would cost a lot to get him.

I still don't understand why we signed Klingberg... the guy looks even worse than I thought he would.

I think Tanev makes more sense than Hanifin. Would slot in perfectly with Rielly, and allow Brodie to play on Klingberg's left.

Realistically the leafs could get a 3rd team to retain more which would help get under the cap. Either way, they’d be able to figure it out.
