In my opinion, no. RNH isn't a top 6 center, DeBrusk has more value than Foegele and Oilers fans would probably not overreact to the result of ONE GAME much like the digital media does!!!

I would not do this. Nuge for DeBrusk might have made sense before, but right now the C situation is much less dire with Poitras. Unless DeBrusk is seeking 7m+, the Bruins should keep him because he is 4 years younger, so he will have a positive impact for longer. Throwing in Ullmark too and only getting back Foegle makes it worse.

He’s played center in the past and had over a 100 points last year, I think he could probably play center in between Marchand and debrusk or pasta and Zacha.

I’m under the impression Poitras is going back to juniors after 9 games, which I don’t think should happen. Debrusk is definitely going to get a raise probably over 6 million and I think that money probably should be spent else where next year at the center position like Lindholm from Calgary unless you can trade for a center. Coyle is a great 3rd line center and Zacha is a great second line center, neither are a first line center.

Obviously EDM fans are overreacting a bit after one game but how desperate do they get if the goalie situation continues. Debrusk would put up similar points playing in the same spot as RNH and EDM is probably the only other place besides Boston where he would take a discount to play after this season.

Why are you under that impression about Poitras? 9 games is a deadline to make a decision, but I saw no evidence to send him down yet.

I would say that Zacha is even lower than you suggest... he is a passable 2C who the team is hoping has more to give, but we can agree he is not the ideal 1C at least for now. But even if Nuge is better, I don't want the team to give up their two best trade assets to hitch their cart to him as a 1C. He is also more of a 2C on a competitive team, and he is now on the wrong side of 30.

I have a feeling Sweeney is going to send him back to juniors which I don’t want to happen. I think he sends him down, moves geekie to 3rd line center, and puts Heinen on the wing then Sweeney starts trading off pieces like Ullmark, Grz, and maybe even Debrusk to regain draft capital after giving up so much last year because they won’t be able to compete with the top dogs in the eastern conference this year, that’s my prediction of what I think will happen. I would rather see the young guys stay up this season and I do agree with trading some pieces because I would rather see guys like Merkulov, Lysell and Lohrei get a chance rather than guys like JVR and Forbort.
