Backstrome taking an injury leave so id assume he'd be placed on LTIR so it could work out. Just gotta wait till trade deadline to see cap situation.

Campbells base salary is lower over the years cause of his bonus being first 2 years of the contract. Blackwoods base salary goes up. So roughly 4 million extra cap spread over more years for a 1st and a okay prospect seems fair. The Sharks aint winning anytime soon so might as well get some future assets

Except Blackwood has a 907 save percentage and a positive goals saved above expected playing in front of a far worse lineup and D group, Campbell would be far worse on the sharks and Blackwood far better with the Oilers.

Plus the sharks would be aware of oilers cap and needing to dump cap and open up space and reluctant to make fair deals options, instead they would opt to try and capitalize on other teams desperation, or stand pat because it doesn’t hurt us not to make the deal.

No this is not even remotely fair. Sharks reject and never pick up the phone for Edmonton again, it's that bad.

so we get the first for duclair and Blackwood, but it will cost MUCH MUCH more to dump soup than a 6th

Edmonton hard to tell. they have been telling us for a week they can move campbell with no retention or sweetener. Holland is just sifting through the offers for future Vezina winner Campbell
