Not sure I would call that "hopeful", but certainly "probable"!!! I would put Nash and JFK as 3rd and 4th C and drop Kuraly. If Kuraly can make the team its probably as a winger.

Hopeful would be to sign or trade for a couple high powered wingers!!

That Pastrnak contract would be a coup for BOS. It will be interesting to see how that plays out. Tarasenko is a decent comparable for him. But an increasing cap and these ridiculous numbers we're hearing about McDavid are going to play into negotiations.

Marchand/Bergeron deals look better each year.

Matt Beleskey on the 5th line is pretty bad. If we thought that little of him, we would have bought him out with Hayes and saved ourselves some cap. I don't think Accari or Kuraly can play any line other than #4. Ryan Spooner making 4M+ is craziness. He's not going to get that even if it goes to arbitration. Hutton is good, but that's why Vancouver will not trade him. I don't think they would entertain moving him in the first place because he is slotted as a top 4 defenseman for them over MDZ IMO. Why would they move him for a 3rd C anyways though because they have Horvat, Sedin, Sutter and just signed Sam Gagner. Pretty sure they have plenty of options at C to want to keep Hutton around.
