PLEASE PLEASE NOTE:

These are the biggest risers from my personal rankings, not a who is best/worst. These are which player's scores went up/down the most from where I had them in my November rankings. For example guys like Matthew Wood and Gavin Bridnely who played rly well didnt go up so much because I expected that from them. Unfair? Sure but this is how I did this. Like Hutson barely missed the cut off for underwhelming because of how poorly he played relative to what I expect from him. Kokko was supposed to dominate but struggled a lot

Sykora is a non-stop grinder and relentless forechecker. Not really known for scoring, so if anyone looks at his stats you’ll probably be disappointed

He’ll have to develop the offensive qualities more in the AHL for like 2 more years

he just never really stood out to me like i thought he was going to. After watching a lot of him in Hartford I expected him to kinda dominate when on the ice but in the WJC he never even looked like the best player. He wasnt bad necessarily but he definitely did not look like someone who could take that next step

More specifically he wasnt very sharp with the puck and his skating struggled a lot. He seemed like he was always out of place and once he had opportunities he didnt make the most of them. Im not too worried overall though I think it was just a rough few games adjusting to a new linemates
