But sometimes it is good not to try to save face. And do a major reassessment in the off-season.

The Rangers are a great team but are really missing Chytil who's hated by NYR fans on this site and Kakko who's hated by NYR fans in general. A pure goal scorer with speed like Chytil doesn't grow on trees and neither do defensively ELITE wingers. The second they get back we will be in much better shape. Blake Wheeler doesn't cut it as first line right wing. And Bonino is barely NHL caliber anymore let alone a third line C. And Mika Zibanejad needs to start actually contributing at 5v5 but no one wants to hear that...........

I hear that, and agree with that. Problem is some players have been compensating for inadequate linemates for too long. And these turnovers and inconsistencies are the result of a tired team.
They been over performing for a while now and it is catching up to them, fast...
