Description
emphasis on letting the kids get an opportunity. i believe kakko can become a top 6 forward so getting him on a mid to long term deal is important imo. letting Lindgren walk sadly, but his style of play just worries me about signing a long-term extension, if he would take a shorter-term deal I think I would consider him more. chychrun would be a great trade, not sure if this is enough for the sens to accept.

Ottawa declines. Not enough to get Chychrun and to get them to take on Goodrow's contract.

Remember it is going to take a 1st + to get someone to take on the remaining 3 years of Goodrow's contract.

than just a buy out works too, either way you wanna put it works fine. I really do not think it would cost that much, but maybe you could be right.

It cost two second round picks to buy out Nemeth's contract (2 yrs @ $2.5M AAV). So with Goodrow at 3 yrs and $3.64M AAV, it is going to cost a first +.

Buyout would be the better option though I believe Drury values him more than the fans do.

not sure, with the waiving of pitlick and Bonino, they are clearly valuing the analytics of players more. goodrow has been one of the worst players on the team analytically speaking, so maybe management are turning a corner.
