Initial Creation Date: Feb. 21, 2024
Published: Feb. 21, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Guentzel re-signs after being traded. Lindholm signs to join Sweden West with Rakell, Eller and Karlsson. Letang could handle/cover for Ghost. Have to play a lot of kids. Not sure if Graves is movable or if its a Paul Martin situation of needing a whole year to acclimate. Malkin gets the Giroux treatment and is moved to wing. Time for new coaches who then fix the powerplay.

Someone might take Graves as I don't think all interest will be gone just from one questionable season in Pittsburgh, but I don't think it'll be Anaheim.

Guentzel isn't being traded then re-signing back with Pittsburgh. it obviously sounds like he doesn't want to commit long term with the oldest team in the NHL.

Yeah sorry but Elias Lindholm didn't turn down way more money with Calgary, Just to take far less on the oldest team in the NHL in Pittsburgh.

And if shayne Gostisbehere was willing to sign for only 2 x $4,000,000 from Pittsburgh Detroit would have already re-signed him. he's getting more money and term than this.

Yeah, we still owe you for Markus Naslund, so we’ll steal Lindholm.

Right.
I remember the Markus Naslund scenario many years ago.

Ok, you made me do some research. Lindholm was offered 9M per in Calgary? Yeah but in Pittsburgh he gets to play with Swedish National team players. What is Ghost going to get, like 5.5x4?

5.5x4 for Ghost is more likely than 4x2.

And if Elias Lindholm wanted to play with the Swedish National Team he'd be signing with Detroit not Pittsburgh.
