They like Schmid a lot and can't afford anything even with the cap increase. Cheap replacement players they sell on the team to stay after season. At no increase

16 mil for a goalie/3 defensemen/and 3wingers.... that sounds like cap hell to me... Nosek/Smith/Schmid all sign 3year for 1.5 mil for 4.5 mil total that's a bargain leaving 12mil for 2 d men 2 wingers
