I don't see that trade happening. Colorado would be foolish to agree. I think you need to change 1 of your fringe forwards (Bennett) instead of trying to rid the team of a bad contract in Brouwer!! Just my opinion.

I'm sure it would take more than that, but I think a contract will have to go to the Avs for the money to work. I'd throw in Bennett or Jankowski personally, but I don't know who would satisfy what Sakic is looking for

This is interesting as if Treliving did go for Duchene, it will see what Tre. thinks of who he sends to Col. If he would send Bennett then we are valuing Sam too highly. but when you look at what Colorado have signed on Defense (4), Sakic is going to need some help there. or have some kind of stellar breakout year from the minors.

Sakic needs legit top 4 defenseman coming back. The only one good enough and young enough would be Dougie Hamilton. I think Duchene for Hamilton is a good, fair hockey trade that benefits both teams. And Calgary's D corps would still be one of the better units in the league. Avs cant afford to gamble on promising players. They need a sure thing coming back in a Duchene deal.
