TOR
  1. 2025 1st round pick (PIT)
  2. 2025 4th round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
Kyle Dubas has made it clear he prefers NHL ready prospects to picks in order to quicken the re-build. In Niemela and Steeves, the Pens are getting two of the Leafs best and most ready to play. Were they not dealt, it is likely they would either start the year with the big club (Steeves) or at the very worst be there by the end of it (Niemela). Abruzzese is points in a can but the rest of his game is limited. He is not the focus of this deal but has his uses on the PP. Like the prospects, Kampf is a known quantity who is a quality penalty killer and keeps the puck in the offensive zone.
PIT
  1. Abruzzese, Nick
  2. Kämpf, David
  3. Niemelä, Topi
  4. Steeves, Alex
Additional Details:
The Leafs move on from a pair of highly regarded prospects who would likely have made the team next season as part of a package to free up more cap space.

They will; for these ones. The surest giveaway that someone has no idea what they are talking about is when they start rating prospects by their draft pedigree a year or more past their draft date.

That pick going to be top 10 probably this is just garbage im a leafs fan this is not in the slightest good for the pens. Pens already have Eller who is probably just as good as Kampf. Abruzzese is AT BEST a fourth liner. Niemela is a Botton pair defensman and Steeves might and might be a third liner. If the Pens really wanted to trade their first round pick they would be getting a hell of a lot more than this trash. If you put all these players in a trade together you might get a 2nd Round Pick
