Why exactly is Ottawa giving away Joseph and Boucher for free?

That was the rumoured deal early in the year when the Sens had cap issues. Philly was willing to take on Joseph's contract if the Sens gave up Boucher in the deal. Moving that cap hit allowed them to go after more depth

This was at the beginning of the season when we needed to sign Pinto and Joseph was viewed as a cap dump. He has had an extremely good bounce back year and has bee one of our best forwards - now his contract looks great.
