What is wrong with Laffy? And Kakko is not in the same category as the other two at all.

Laffy isn’t exactly the 1st overall pick we have hoped him to be 4 years later lol

All rangers forwards drafted in the 1st round recently haven’t worked out well, whether it’s the organization’s or player’s fault

Not living up to the hype of a draft doesn't mean he isn't an effective player who keeps improving. He has been good this year and if he could finish grade A chances a little better he would have 30+ goals. Plus he is physical and plays good D. We could use more Laffy's on the team. Not everyone develops at the same rate. Chytil took a few years but was really doing well before his injury. Middlestadt took a few years to develop and now is a legit 2C. Teams need to be patient when they draft and start playing 18 and 19 year old kids in the NHL.

I mean you want othmann next to Mika when Kakko totally deserves it more, but for some reason Kakko is the scapegoat for this team

I’m all for letting kids take their time to develop years later into their career, but there’s no room for Othmann on the left side unless cuylle is a 4th liner and if Othmann plays RW then he should be on the 3rd line

But Berard is gonna bring the competition because he looks good in the AHL and he is what the rangers are missing right now

All I said was Othmann deserves a shot at RW with Mika and Kreider. Kakko has been their RW so they know how he fits there, and obviously Lavi isn't too comfortable with it, plus Kakko has looked better on the 3rd line with Cuylee and Brodzinki/Wennberg. Maybe Othemann would work there, but if not, at least they would know. I mean Laffy moved off wing and seems to have really found his spot playing with Troch and Breadman, so why not try Othmann, that's all I'm saying.

Literally no one works with Mika and Kreider. They keep trying all these RWs with them but they’re the problem. They need to be broken up

If othmann wants to thrive, he needs to be opposite of Panarin. And then when Panarin is gone, maybe he’ll be opposite of Laffy

Yea moving Laffy to RW with Panarin and trocheck definitely helped him, but not every player can transition smoothly and Othmann definitely doesn’t have laffy’s skill set

Buchnevich worked with Mika and Kreider, so that is that. Mika and Kreider work well together and splitting them up would be a mistake in my opinion. And again, Othmann hasn't played one regular season game in the NHL yet with skill guys like Mika and Kreider, so there is no way anyone can know how he would perform on that line.

Wow 1 player has worked with Mika and Kreider and there’s 0% he’s coming back. They do need to be split up because arguably they’re the worst top line in the league at 5v5 lol both of them get majority of their goals/points on the powerplay

Also, Lavi isn’t gonna give othmann top 6 time either. He’s gonna play whatever vet or more experienced player over him. Just like he did with Wheeler and Kakko. Also cuylle looking comfortable but still doesn’t get a lot of minutes

Worst top line in the league at 5v5..LOL. The last 3 years (without a top 6 RW on the line), just these two combined have scored 107 goals and have 135 assists at even strength with corsi's in the 57% range and Fenwicks in the 56% range playing against other teams best lines. If they had a legit top 6 RW playing with them all this time, those numbers would even be better. If they are the worst top line in the NHL, then San Jose is the best team in the NHL.
