Trade Analysis:

After Chiarelli locks up Draisaitl for 8 years at $10,000,000 (or less) he realizes that he has some cap space to work with to acquire some 1 year rentals (maybe more if they decide to resign at the right price) to better prepare his team for the playoffs and help them become unstoppable in their conquest for the cup. Instead of waiting for the trade deadline he decides to go after the rentals so his team can have them for a full 82+ games. After hearing that VAN will move the Sedin's at the right price he decides that they would be an excellent addition to his team's already lethal offence and decides to inquire about them from VAN. After some lengthy negotiations VAN decides to move on from the Sedin's who have been the face of their franchise for many years. They move the twins (one at 50% off) for a cap dump in Fayne and Puljujarvi who will help solidify this teams future top 6.

As much as I like the thought of that. I just don't see Edmonton giving up Puljujarvi. This would probably be an interesting deadline deal. But certainly a much lesser return for two 2-3rd liners. Probably draft picks and a young prospect. But they would certainly boost the Oil for a playoff run!!
