Habs Starting Lineup 17/18

Created by: CaptainFlynnt

Description
Important Notes:
- I have Drouin at #1C with Pacioretty (I see great chemistry here. Highly skilled playmaker with a big sniper. Drouin, Pacioretty, and Gallagher all have good speed and the wingers are defensively responsible which would help Drouin adjust to playing down the middle.)

- Danault on the 4th line: It's not really the 4th line just the bottom 6 as I see both lines getting roughly the same icetime. I really like Danault but he is the perfect #3C and if he is played on the top line again this year he is going want to be paid like a top 6.

- Hudon makes the team (it is a must this year since he can't go through waivers). Also I have Chris Terry playing the RW with Hudon. They have good chemistry and lit up the AHL together. I think Terry might be the best option to play RW on a line with Danault and Hudon.

- Jerabek with Weber. If not him than it will most likely have to be Alzner. Jerabek put up similar numbers to Zaitsev in the KHL, I have faith he will be the guy to play with Weber.

- Galchenyuk playing D on PP. He will either stack up on the first unit (replace Jerabek) or be the option on the 2nd unit with Petry. His best weapon is his one timer and the best place to utilize it is the from the point.

Would De la rose and Carr have to go through waiver to play in Laval?, if so I would rather lose someone like Streit and Martinsen.

You need to put some thought into it. Scherbak is still young enough to clear waivers and go to the AHL where he can lead he offense rather than play bottom 6 minutes in the NHL. It would do him more harm than good. Terry is the perfect guy because he is 28 (he is as good as he will ever be) and he has chemistry with hudon. At this stage terry is probably a better player than scherbak anyways, he was in the AHL last year at least.

They are at the age where they have to go through waivers to play in the AHL now.. same goes for Hudon. I too would rather lose martinsen, streit I think is insurance in case Jerabek busts. De la rose might get claimed but it's not likely carr would.
