Description

Place Franzen on LTIRetirement (concussions) and Sproul on LTIR (recovering from ACL surgery) to start the season. Trade Sheahan to Pittsburgh. They get a RFA 3rd line center and the Wings get a 3rd Round Pick and cap relief. Sign Athanasiou to a 2 year/$2,300,000 AAV contract to keep him in Detroit. Promote Bertuzzi and Frk from Grand Rapids to fill the remaining roster spots. These are not my ideal lines, but it's what I think Ken Holland and Jeff Blashill will roll with.

I agree from the sound of things, This is pretty much the lines that Blashill will role with at least that's what Khan was hearing.

I don't really like selling low on Sheahan, but he scored 2 goals last year... in the last game of the season. If trading him to PIT gets them enough cap dollars to keep Athansiou around then I guess I'm ok with it.
