I'd like to get your reasoning behind this trade. Wasn't Yakupov a UFA this past summer and most teams passed on him?

I don't see why Philadelphia makes this trade. I actually would like to give Yakupov yet another chance. The Flyers won't give him that chance. I don't believe he plays an adequate 200-foot game the Flyers are so keen about. I think he would need to play a top 6 role to possibly be effective. Based on your line combos, that isn't happening. The Flyers won't buy out AMac, at least not this year. Flyers aren't in cap hell, value his veteran presence, and won't put three rookies on the blue line to start the season.

I don't see why Colorado makes this trade either. They are taking on 5-6M in total salary for depth players and basically for a 5th and 7th picks.
