i posted this trade not too long ago. i agree its a solid move. i am slightly concerned that pouliot is a legitment bust not just a solid player whose struggling (see sheehan last season) but also i think that if kronwall is able to go on ltir, which seems plausible with him missing the first two days of training camp, is do we really need to trade away sheahan for cheap since we now don't need the cap space because of kronners injury?

I guess they wouldn't have to trade Sheahan with Kronwall on LTIR. I still think it's a good move. It gives the Wings slightly more flexibility with the cap and they'd likely add a pick, which is important for a rebuilding team. They don't necessarily have to pull the trigger on this trade until later in the season and see if Sheahan can raise his value for a potentially better return.
