Why is trading him a must. I know he's had a bad start to the season but that's very unlike him and I'm sure he will rebound soon. Plus moving him makes Skeji the top left D and although I think he is a great top 4 guy, Idk if he could handle being the top guy. Plus that move up Staal who isn't playing like trash this year in a more sheltered role.

He hasn't been his usual self this season, but he is still generating points and chances and the rest will fall into place. The only argument for moving him is that he's going to be a free agent after next year and will also be 30 and probably want a long term deal. Given his age I think it's reasonable to try and move him for a good return next year and we've got some good D prospects in the system now. Will be tough to lose him but it might be best long term.
