Ben Hutton Scouting Report

Hutton is a bit of a journeyman NHL player. Vegas is his fifth NHL organization.
He a veteran player who can slide into the lineup and provide responsible depth minutes at ES and PP#2
Hutton has good size but he isn't punishing physically. He's a rangy 'bumper' who's agile enough to rotate into shooting lanes and block shots.
On occasion he will push the play up ice, on his own, with the puck on his stick. He has an occasional role on PP#2, and the ability to direct pucks on net from range.
A depth / third pairing / 2-way 'D'
Through his first seven game segment to start the 23/24 season he averaged 15:24 TOI - 14:29 ES - 0:50 PP - 0:05 PK and scored 0G-2A. He was credited with 11 SOG - 2 hits and 11 shot blocks.
