I really don't understand how having some fun as a team after winning a game is embarrassing. Really not understanding of all the hate on Carolina, they are happy they won and it builds team chemistry and makes them push harder to win IMO

Charlie Coyle
I think Minnesota says yes in a heartbeat, Coyle is a 3rd line player, but I think McDavid can make him a good player on his line. Puljujärvi has great potential just really think he's got a 50/50 shot at bust or star, worth a shot for the wild.

As for the contracts, we'll see, but I think you're in for a rude awakening</div></div>
Well I think the biggest issue with this is that the Leafs are at an advantage, they have to much young talent, how many teams can say that? people play it off like they are at a weakness but any team would be chomping at the bit to get one of their young forwards, and yes I think the Hurricanes who lack offensive firepower after their trades this summer, would be willing to trade one of their defensemen for one of these guys, I really think they would be dumb to not atleast give it a listen.

I also don’t think Toronto needs to pay to get rid of zaitsev and I’m really not in favour of getting rid of him anyway. Think he would be just fine in place of Myers. His defensive game is great and would match up well playing that style with Reilly.</div></div>
I think for Kappy the Leafs should listen, maybe kappy and a second too, Also I think it would be smart to sign someone to compete for that spot, I really hate when a player who has never truly proven themselves at an nhl level is a "lock" for a spot, sign a guy for around 1 mil who is decent playing right or left side D, worst case scenario you trade him for a late pick or waive him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>Ummm. Try Nylander. The way he’s playing not even that would do it.</div></div>
Well what I'm suggesting are skeletons of trades, I'm willing to negotiate, and yes I think Johnson and Kapanen would sign for around 2-3 mil, look at the Dumba contract with the wild a few years ago, sign a two year bride deal, then sign for the big boy money, bet on yourself and it payed of well for him. Also if Carolina wants Nylander for a defense men Dubas should hang up immediately, hes at career low value, no reason to sell now. I do believe that Nylander will be worth the contract once picks up his game again.

Would Carolina accept for a second and a 3rd or do you think they aren't interested in picks? Also they have the space maybe they would be interested in Marleau, I would hate to see him leave but hes been struggling to score and he just isnt a 6.25 mill player.

Trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juice</b></div><div>No thanks to Ian Cole...but that's me...I don't think he adds value to the lineup
I initially really didn't like the Pleks signing....but 1yr at $4m would make sense for the Leafs...probably not him though....I'd think he'd rather go back to Montreal for less money on a longer term (and possibly play higher than a 3/4C
I wouldn't think you'd need to add anything to the Myers trade. To be honest...Winnipeg is more likely to trade him for prospects or picks (no cap hit going back to them) than for a LHD. I think the value is spot on given their contracts and contributions to their team...but could likely get him for the leafs #1 alone....and then if you want to move Gardiner...you could get a different asset elsewhere...but based on your lineup..I'd much rather put Jake in there for 1 more year than sign Ian Cole...
just my thoughts tho.</div></div>
Ian Cole can play a 5-6 role on the Leafs, if a prospect pushes him out of the lineup I think he can be traded quite easily at that cap hit.
Plec was an idea I came up with on the spot I think its a good signing if he wants to win.
The Jets need a top 4 left shot defense man and playing Myers on the bottom pairing is wasting his talent he isn't a top pairing guy but can play solid top 4 minutes.

I see Nylander as a top line winger, but Marner can run his own line top and can run the power play. Gets about 8 and Nylander gets 7 tops.

As a minny fan I say no to that trade. Minny has strength on the left and doesn't need another left handed player. Plus trading a top pair d-man for a prospect doesn't make any sense, nurse hasn't shown that ability to be a top pair guy yet but I do see it as a possibility.

I also think that Carolina is done with Darling and wants to get rid of him at all cost. I see his signing as complete failure and Carolina wants to move on from this season. I treated Darling as having negative value in the trade from Carolina.

If Fletcher finds a way to keep everyone this summer
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wabit</b></div><div>Dumba feels overpayed.
Koivu would probably only get 1 yr deals with bonuses that equal out to be around his current contract. 35+ contracts are dangerous for much term.
One of Granny, Zucker, or Ennis (buyout) will be traded. Hopefully Kaprizov and/or Greenway are NHL ready and they fill in that lineup slot.
$34m on wings, and ~$8.5m for all the centers isn't really a sustainable plan.</div></div>
Staal is still a number one center, he just had a really awful season and we got him on a nice deal. Erikson Ek can be a number 2 by this time next year just happens to be on his rookie deal. Koivu is probably gonna get more somewhere else. 3 mill is just all Minny can afford. and 4th line center is a prospect or at most a UFA at 2 mill at most. Maybe Granny moves to his natural position at center but after his breakout season at RW i doubt it.
Dumba is overpaid to me... solid number 3 or 4 guy and can run a power play. But all I here is hype for the kid and that's what i think he gets.
I see them buying out Ennis next season if he doesn't turn around. According to the site he can play center I haven't seen him play center ever but I rarely watch Buf. Maybe if he can become a good 3rd line center he can make it in Minny.

If he asks for more than 3 million I think the Wild will have to let him walk. Even though Vanek's buyout comes of the books we are still right up against the cap. I will be sad to see Koivu go but if he goes to the Habs it should be a great fit.

The trade was cap related as he is the best player the wild got from the deal unless Ennis turns it around... The Wild have to sign him because they spent Scandella to get him. Just doesn't make sense to not sign him.

I the Wild could sign Nino for that small of a contract they would in an instant. Your gonnna have to give him at least 5 year x $5 mil contract.
