Detroit's last 2 games are against Montreal, so it looks like they'll make it.

Anyways, the Habs wouldn't want 8.5 of PLD, we're very happy with our core. We also arguably have 5 better skaters than PLD. Suzuki, Caufield, Slafkovsky, Matheson. Then you add Newhook (8 less points than PLD and has played 27 less games), Dach (if he could stay healthy), Guhle has been very good too.</div></div>
Just add him to your ignore list. Simply look at his Post/Like ratio, clearly just a troll who's doing it for attention.

I don't know what having 5 guys scoring more has anything to do with it. He's making 8.5 Million, playing 4th line 5v5, and is higher paid than every Montreal forward.

Matheson is one of the best players in the league at what he does. I don't see Hutson outplaying that for a long time. We might even be one of those teams with 2 defenders on our #1 PP

If Hischier had done it when the game wasn't done okay, that'd be more disrespectful, but Hischier's skating down with the puck and momentum when the game ends and just lets the puck slow down by itself into the net, it's a perfectly fine thing to do, none of the 2 sens players right beside Hischier cared but Tkachuk who was halfway across the ice did for some reason</div></div>
The game was over when Hischier did it. Clock ran zero when he was near the blue line, and took another 3-4 seconds to skate in front of the net and put it in. That's the disrespect. There'd be nothing wrong if he did that with time left.

Unwritten rule No. 1: Settle down around those empty nets or aka no showboating
Nobody has done it for a reason as guys know its an unwritten rule. Why do you think you dont see people get cheesy with ENG's and just shoot/guide it in.
Pinto had all the time to put it in but deliberately did it to get a reaction and cause of that he learned his lesson the hard way.
Players like Lauzon, Glass, Schenn brothers, Henrique, Smith, etc all said the same thing what Pinto did was wrong and Rielly had every right to go after him</div></div>
There's no history on it, because it was nothing until the Leafs took exception for no reason. They lost to a **** team and were embarassed by it.
I've seen countless amounts of people who put the puck into the net at the end of a period/game and every single time someone has gone after them for it.
It's two completely different circumstances, and the only reason this is news is because it's Ottawa and the situation that happened with them earlier this year.

Scoring into an empty net isn't an unwritten rule. That didn't exist until Rielly threw a hissy fit. Sxoding after the white is an unwritten rule.

It's pretty clear the difference between the Slapshot and the Hischier situation.
What Greig did is totally acceptable. You can score however you want when the time is running. Putting the puck in the net, at the end of any period or dead play shouldn't be allowed. Completely different situations

Opposite can be said. With 2 1C's, 1RW, 1LW, and a 1D, they're barely hanging onto a division spot.
