An alternative is to trade Chytil and Robertson for say Boone Jenner. Boone won't provide adequate 3C scoring offense, but he is much better at the dot and throws his weight around. I'd be looking for Othmann for goals from the third line. I am not wedded to this trade, but I offer it to give you a sense of where I am trying to go.

I don’t see Detroit doing that trade especially with their 1st involved. They have some good LD and some in the pipelines ready to make the jump so no need for Lindgren. Trouba they could take because they would swap him for Holl

The cap space available is all contingent on if they move Trouba/goodrow to open up. Signing Guentzel or Pesce/Skjei like you mention would hurt their cap next off-season when they need to extend Laffy, KAM and Igor

Chytil has no trade value and CBJ has said they aren’t open to trading Jenner. Even if that stance changes, Chytil/Robertson would need a 1st included to have value

Lastly, I’d expect Othmann to be back in the AHL next year because his 5v5 game needs some more work. I think Berard might make the 3rd line out of camp

Yea that’s with everyone taking the expected contracts

They can in 2027 when panarin and Trouba are gone. Either way your post isn’t realistic cause OS don’t happen lol
