How does Tampa get out Cap Hell next season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Boychuk is meaningless in any trade as long as stays on LTIR, Somehow Tampa likely has to move two mid cap players. Palat and Killorn have M NTCs</div></div>
Did read the description of the trade? I put him on LTIR. Kinda the same trade they did with Ottawa with Nilsson and Gaborik. And Ik abt killorn and he has to give a 10 team trade list and I just assumed the isles would be one cause he went to Harvard and it’s semi nearby. And I’m sure Johnson wouldn’t mind having fun in an expansion team.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CoopsTroops</b></div><div>I only keep up with Syracuse and I just check their Twitter post before the games for the lines. I haven't found any reliable sites for expanded AHL stats. I've been trying to find one to check faceoff percentages.</div></div>
Ah okay, nice to see we’re having the same issues lol. But I’ve been looking for quite some time and no luck. Also I’d be very shocked if Stephen’s doesn’t get a contract at the end of the year or in the coming weeks-months. He’s been the best defenseman in Syracuse without question.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CoopsTroops</b></div><div>Day is a career AHLer at this point.
Witkowski is too, plus he's more of a forward now anyway.
Semykin is still pretty raw and is going to need more time.
I like Green, and he looked great last night for Syracuse in an expanded role with Thomas called up. Whether he'll be ready next year i am not sure.
Devante Stephens is having a bit of a career resurgence. Immediately slotted in on the top pair and has stayed there when called up from the ECHL. It'll be interesting to see if he gets an NHL contract next year.</div></div>
On the note of the AHL, is there any site u use to get line combinations for the ahl. I’ve been trying to find one for all 31 teams but the only reliable things I can find is. Checking AHL teams Twitter accounts and Instagram pages. Ahl.com is cool but it shows full on ice rosters not line combos.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CoopsTroops</b></div><div>I think Schenn and Borgman have been ok. They're fill ins when needed and Schenn packs a punch. Today we're finally going to see what Ben Thomas can do after he was drafted 7 years ago.
This is a pipe dream, but I'd like to see Nikita Gusev sign a real cheap deal with us next season. Gusev and Kucherov tore up the Russian junior leagues as linemates. It'd have to be a 1 year deal to help him rebuild his value.</div></div>
I was gonna mention that Ben Thomas is gonna be playing, I saw that while looking at Ruttas injury. But Gusev could be a great add especially at under a million. The reason I brought up signing depth defense is only because the depth is Syracuse is kinda poor. Sean Day hasn’t been bad but not much of a career resurgence. Alex green has been a fine shut down Dman. I can say the same for Semykin. And I’d be truly surprised of Witkowski signs an extension (not to mention he’s a forward primarily). After that there’s nothing else so a few depth dman in the off-season won’t hurt in my eyes.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CoopsTroops</b></div><div>Say you leave the top 6 as is, then put Joseph, Colton, and Barre-Boulet on the 3rd line. Joseph and Colton can play there and BB probably projects to eventually be in the Top 6, so he'll be fine. 4th line has locks in Maroon and Stephens, then we just got to find someone as the 12F. I'd be fine rotating prospects until the trade deadline. Raddysh, Katchouk, Smith, Somppi, and even Fortier could get NHL stints.
Defense is fine, will be the same as this year's except Foote on a new deal.
Forgot about goalie, we'll definitely have to sign someone new. I cannot imagine Curtis has much left in the tank.</div></div>
Yea I can’t argue with any of that. I’d imagine they sign a few depth dmen on league minimum deals just cause Borgman and schenn haven’t been great this season.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CoopsTroops</b></div><div>I think the Lightning have all of the pieces in-house to compete next year. I doubt we have/want to trade for or sign anyone. Moving Johnson and Killorn/Palat is likely how we become compliant. Coleman is gone regardless, and Goodrow will give us a discount if we're lucky but I'm not counting on it.</div></div>
I feel like most of the in house guys have already made there way up and I’m not to sure if they want to rely on katchouk or somppi or raddysh. I’m sure they can try but those guys just won’t have the impact that goodrow or Coleman had. Luckily their entire defense is locked up minus Foote who’s gonna take a super cheap bridge deal similar to Stephens and Joseph. And in terms of in house options for a goalie they don’t really have one and Curtis has been poor this season in his last few showings. I’m sure BriseBois will be fine but there is just a lot of questions left to be answered.

Yea I agree. As u can see in my off-season I didn’t resign him or goodrow and I went conservative with Sheary and Cizikas. 2 cheaper and slightly less skilled options.

Yea they’re gonna be in cap hell the next few season. They’re gonna have sergachev and Cernak the year after point. And both of them are gonna be coming of their respective bridge deals. BriseBois is gonna have one hell of a job ahead of himself.

Yea you’re not wrong. As of now they have negative $3.5 million in cap space in the off-season and have to sign Coleman, Foote, a backup goalie, and Barclay Goodrow. Idk how the hell theyre gonna pull it off but Seattle is gonna play a major factor in my eyes.

I mean why did Bobby Ryan join us, what abt Namestnikov, what abt greiss. All of them took cheap deals to play with our storied franchise. I’m sure Casey wouldn’t be too picky and he’d Be an ideal role model for guys like G. Smith, Veleno and Rasmussen.

Exactly. The price would be to high and I doubt many contenders can may much more than $1.7 Mill for a 4th line center. And if the wings would need to get in a bidding war for him I’m sure they’ll have the cap to get it done.

I was thinking of a player to replace Glendening and who better than Cizikas. They both had great face off stats and are both great bottom 6 forwards. I will say that the Islanders don’t have the cap IMO to give Casey more than $3 million in the off-season. I will agree I kinda lowballed him but I had $14 mill left with the team I created so Yzerman can spend another million if he has to.
