THE FINAL PIECE TO THE PUZZLE FOR DUBAS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLSage</b></div><div>So would you be willing to trade Pesce straight up for Nylander?</div></div>
Maybe pesce and a prospect or a pick for nylander. But yeah this is the pieces that the canes would be looking for. But i really doubt that they are interested in trading him.

The canes wouldn’t trade him to any team unless they get a top centerman. That would be the only pieces that carolina would be interest in.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLSage</b></div><div>Are you saying that Johnsson and Moore are not long-term NHL players and Bracco does not have the potential to be an offensive impact player in the NHL? Let alone the draft picks and Timashow and Ceci thrown into the deal to give the Canes another defenceman to finish out their season which is going to be shipwreck without Hamilton. The reality is the Canes season just went down the drain with the injury to Hamilton and the team might be more interested in continuing the rebuild with more quality young players. Looking to Canes to promote their quality minor league defenceman to play out rest of season. Do not think that Pesce is even close to Nylander in value and would be really interested in what you think the Leafs would need to give up to get him.</div></div>
And if you have a certain knowledge about hockey you would know that the canes have tremendous depth on their blueline. They have jake bean who is nhl ready down in charlotte. Trevor van riemdyk, hayden fleury, they’re season isn’t in jeopardy. They will make the playoff and will probably go farther then the maple leafs if they get a number one goalie.

No carolina is not interested at all in bracco or moore or either johnsson or kapanen. Pesce is one of the best defensive minded right shot defenseman in the league. He play a tons of minutes against top opposition and is sign at a very good contract for 4 more years . This trade is pure garbage and you should be ashamed. The canes actually have a plenty of better prospect then the Maples
Leafs and a tons of draft pick. So no they aren’t interested at all

Are you looking sometime at what happen around the Nhl? Or you are just stick with the maple leafs and don’t know anything that happen around the league. First of all the canes have already rejected many offer for pesce from your side. They haven’t A trade for nylander they won’t take a bunch of hot trash for him. And it’s even more actuality since dougie hamilton broke is leg this week. The canes have absolutely no interest in that garbage package.

That why Minnesota hd matthew boldy to balance thing out. With suzuki, danault and kotkaniemi at center for the next few year montreal could use a defenseman like brodin and a left winger who had chemistry with caufield.

That always the gamble you have to take with prospect. You stick with him and expect big thing or trade him flr a established players who have real success. I think that this would be what bergevin will ask for domi. Something similar then Max Pacioretty deal. But i doubt that guerin Will go that way. The wild would probably be better by goiing in a rebuilt since they have one of the oldest forward group.

Even if i agree for most of what you said. Kovalchuk is still have a good value. After 7 game he proved to everyone that he still able to play at a high level. There plenty of team that will call the habs at the deadline for him, a second round pick will probably be the price paid by some of the team. With only 700000 $ in salary he become easy to fit in for almost everyteam with a thigh cap. Even if you don’t like the guy he still got a few trick in is bag.

How this Pittsburgh trade is realist? Pittsburgh doesn’t need scandela or neither thompson and both would fetch much more then a late pick for esch of them. Kovalchuk could clearly interest them but a 2nd round pick will be probably the max they will get out of him. Even if he continu to the ppg rythme the sample of game will be to small and team won’t buy on that high.

There no team who will trade a top line centerman for dumba. Team don’t trade top line center. The wild should target ryan strome or tyler johnson. It might be the best option. Or get a good center prospect for dumba but there not a team who is in playoff race that will trade one of their centers.

I don’t think that either brodin or dumba get you a 1st line center. I mean first line center aren’t get traded anymore team cherish them and when they got one they don’t let then walk away but you could clearly get a second line center. A guy like trochek in florida or henrique with the duck. A good reliable two way center.

You don’t wait until the last minute to develop defenseman. I mean they could get a prospect this year and he will play in three or four year in the Nhl. That why they would be interest in a defence prospect.

Nuge is plaing with Yamamoto and Drai now, Oilers are 5-1-1 with Yamamoto in the line up. Nuge was hurt with a hand injury and that is a good reason why his stats are down, but him and McDavid always come on strong at the last half of the year. Yes we are missing 1 skilled winger and we all know that, everyone in the nhl knows that.</div></div>
One good winger and a 3 line center. That third line center become even more important in playoff when you are on the road. This is the biggest need. A real good goalie would hurt to but they have been ok this year.

The facts that its a lot easier to find archibald type of players then winger who can score goal on a consistent basis. Thats the point here, archibald as good as he is in is role won’t turn into a top 9 productive players. That what the oilers are missing the most. Nugent hopkins number have been down this year but he havent had good winger. If you look at top seeded team in the league, they all have secondary scoring.

Grubauer turned it on last year and won the job outright and was amazing in the playoffs, goalies hit slumps, also when you dmen activate like the avs do, you tend to get scored on more</div></div>
I still don’t think that he is a number one goaltender. Some goaltender just can face a number one work charge and be efficient as as tandem or number 2. Jaroslav halak, tomas greiss, anthon kudobin have all been stellar backup but when they had to fill in for a number one job they didn’t have success because the amount of job isnt the same, you can’t practice little technical detail of your game on daily basis with the goaltending coach. You get more tired mentally. He haven’t show yet that he can be a number one goalie and have success.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mondo</b></div><div>hahaha
Seems like I'm not the one with the reading issue here. Do you notice the word "implying" in my post? You were responding to Jeff whose comment was that he wouldn't want to sign Holtby unless Grubauer was "starting to fall apart". Your post is an implication that signing Holtby is better than relying on Grubauer, since that's one of the main things about this armchair GM. Unless of course you just wanted to whine about Grubauer for whatever reason.
I also recall you making this <a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1575662">ACGM</a>?
There's also no such thing as an "acceptable save %". I'm not going to argue about that because I don't have the patience, but it proves my point about you having nonsensical standards for goaltenders.
Also, I'm not sure what story I made up? I was pointing out that Grubauer has had a better save percentage than your own wonderboy, a goaltender people rave about constantly, and the guy the OP wants to replace him with. What I don't understand is why you hate Grubauer so much that you're willing to get into a heated arugment on Capfriendly about it.</div></div>
Grubauer is hot trash and you can face the truth somyou made up a whole imaginary story where he is playing with unicorn and he is a good goalie. The avalanche is screw real bad with that hot garbage goalie.
You have made up the holtby story by your own. I wasn’t implying anything there. The only thing i mentionned is that grubauer was falling appart. I did mentioned that they should replace him with holtby. You assumed that it had somethibg to do with it, when it clearly not.
For the carey price trade i hope its a joke! No one who have any judgement would none that it’s wasn’t a real attempt.
And if there no such thing about acceptable % pourcentage your argument that grubaueur is better than other goalie are bullshat since that statistics is non representative of a goalie performance. Because grubauer can suk badly but he is a great goalie with a .911% but Price is the worst goalie in the league with a .909%. Your are pointless everysingle time.
If price is bad grubauer isnt much better. You are the one the brings that up mister nobel prize. If in first place you would have mind your own bizwax you wouldn’t have look like a fool.
