Big Time Playoff Push
I don't like this at all. Getting rid of Roussel before a playoff run is out of the question. I really like Sceviour and if he were to go I would hope it be in a package for a better player than Schenn. No interest in Doan at all.

True. K only added ELCs and still at the top of the possible cap next year. They have to ship some contracts out.

There's only one regular in there. We've been trying to hide Hemsky in the lineup. Gives us a chance to bring Ritchie up.

With the cup window closing is this possible!?!?!?!?!?!?
Excellent breakdown as usual palhal. I think people are missing the point on Nichushkin. He is a big part of the future in Dallas and to suggest like I've been seeing that he handicaps their chances at postseason success is ridiculous. Watch the guy play now and stop looking at the box scores. He is excellent at cycling and waiting for things to happen. Very patient with the puck now. The only real knock is he doesn't shoot it enough which is why he looks best playing with Segs and Benn.

Stars Trade
Bad trade for Dallas. Nichushkin is important to Dallas in the future. Sharp is only signed for 2 more years we will need Nichushkin to take that spot permanently. We have the fixes for our defense in Cedar Park right now. If we can get a bottom pairing defensive defenseman who's only signed through this season then we make a deal. But not Nichushkin. And the tumors are from Eklund who has no credibility

If you can trade Girardi and Hayes signs for the low price of 2mil. And Kreider agrees to 4.

Don't want to see Letang in a division team sweater. Cool with the Senators deal. The Stars deal is terrible. Dallas doesn't have the necessary players to get Kessel. Oilers deal is good. Ducks deal is ok, but not great.</i></div></div>
Honestly was having a hard time finding a landing spot for Kessel. Felt like I needed to find a smaller hockey market but maybe he's ok in Pittsburgh with different line mates.

I wouldn't want to trade him either, Just going off of trade rumors. I would probably trade Guryanov in a package deal instead. Also its not like fowler or vatanen play like bottom pair defensemen... Can you think of a better trade? Val/guryanov package for Buff maybe?</i></div></div>
Yeah I heard the rumors are from Eklund so you can pretty much disregard them. Would rather wait a couple years to see where Guryanov is at before we trade him. We have plenty of high end prospects we could put together to improve the D. Honka, Shore, Dickinson, Hansson, Lindell, Ritchie.

I think Dallas would rather pay a 3rd/4th line forward 4mil for 1 more year than a 5/6 defenseman 5.5mil for 4 more years. Also give up an asset in Shore. No thank you

I think his physical tools would help on the back end. Dallas is still pretty small on defense and need a real physical presence at the end of games. That is where we get pushed around. If the cap increases what it is being reported it may go to, his contract isn't bad. He's not a stiff in the offensive zone either.

As a cap strapped team. It's not a good idea to give up entry level contracts for big contracts. Also seems like a lot to give up for Faulk and salary retention for Carolina who is a budget team doesn't seem likely.

Probably not enough for Johansen. I don't believe Demers gets more than 3.5 and Yandle will command north of 5mil. So Medvedev was my answer there.
