Lol... Buffalo needs everything , brains , guts, talent and the desire to actually win... and then some more.
Including filler for hole in the side of the your head.

2 or 3 years too late to get those returns.
Geno is in decline, currently at a rapid pace.
Most of the teams listed would have bbn interest, but even in Pitt they know they would be lucky yo get half of any one of these trades.
Geno is no Sid.

LA how do we do it
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tryger</b></div><div>Nah, Kings need Kopitar to stick around and move down the lineup when the kids are ready and provide leadership when they finally start going to the playoffs. The problem with your trade is it doesn’t give the Kings a top winger, top defenseman, or goalie that is projected better than Petersen, so why would they do this? The Kings will only entertain moving Kopitar when it’s clear Byfield, Turcotte, and Vilardi are ready to lead the team.</div></div>
So trade talks can start with D Nils Lundquist.?
Hes one if the top D prospects in all of hockey.
But still need to offset the cap hit...
Think youre undervaluing Buchnevich n Kravtsov.

He , hopefully , would be that for NYs upung roster.
But you and i think very highly, still, of Anze. Hes a great player n leader .

Do you want 10 million 35 year old kopitar when it’s time to contend? Seems like there’s a decent chance he would be adding to the buyout toll.</div></div>
Not arguing your point. However, Kopitar is playing top level now.
Next year who knows....
My hope is he brings MUCH more than just points.
In this current roster.. 35 year old Kopitar might still be #2 option. No talented upcoming centremen for in system. Save Chytil...

Looking at it after posting .... have those thoughts too.
CapFriendly is a tough crowd...
LA would definitely offer a few other bottom 6 options, bottom 4 dmen.
Im figuring Kopitar plays a role ALOT like Messier.
This group needs a WINNER to lead them, show the kids.
Few better examples around the league.

By seasons end and moving forward...
Danault is correctly slotted as a 3C on a contending team.
He only played top 6 because Montreal was waiting for draft picks to take his spot.
Go ahead pay Danault the 5+ mil per season he wants too.

That is an awlful deal for NY...
Why would there be a 1st, nobody giving a 1st for a 28 yeard old 3C who wants 5+mil per after this season.
Danault us a deadline rental for a contender.
He is not a building block.

Danault Trade and Extension
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Campabee</b></div><div>I would like to know exactly who you think are better than Danault. You say 95% of the 2C's in the league are better but in the East alone I can only think of 4 2C's who are better (Krejci (debatable), Malkin, Backstrom and Tavares. I would say Hayes is almost equal but everyone else is at least one step below Danault right now) So your 95% is not even close it is more like 25%, which means he is most definitely a 2C.</div></div>
So remind me why Montreal and their fan base is peddling him??
Because they also want part of paying a 29 year old 3C 5 x5 at end of this season.
I dont dislike Danault, but do not see him as a top 6 C on a TOP CONTENDER.
Would not make any sense for NY to keep him long term. Zib is up year after next and that is when a 5x5 contact on my 3C is an issue.
Why do you think Strome only got 2 years? And younger than Danault.
Danault is a very good player.
You take it too personal. After this upcoming season you know I'm right. Heck Danault , himself, has to understand it, with looming cap issues league wide also.
SMH....

Only proves my point. All that ice time as a 1C and all you expect is 50 pts. Hes a 30 pts 3C when slotted correctly on a contending team.
Again, hes a great add for THIS SEASON.
Would not any part of a 5 x 5 contract for a then 29 year old 3C.

That would be another huge mistake by Bergvin
Danault should not be signed by any team to a 5x5 contract. That would be a big mistake, HE IS NOT A 5 MIL PER PLAYER.
DANAULT IS A 3C...
He played 2C in Montreal because of an awlful roster. Hes already being shipped out to let the younger guts play...

You're peddling him bc you have 2 20 year olds who are more apt to be top 6 centerman.
Danault is not top 6, dont care where he played for Habs, on 95% of the league he is a 3C.

Danault Trade and Extension
Why would you give do much for a 3C??
Danault is not worth anywhere near that.
He makes 3 mill this year, which is perfect for him.
Next year he expects closer to 5 mil per just because he played 2C on a terrible team.
Waaaaay too much for a defensive 3C.
