Only the Stone trade would get Ottawa interested. They decline the rest.

The Duchene trade is close. Koivula struggled his first 20 games in North America but since being moved to Centre has been on a tear. Corey Pronman loves the big 20 year kid. Maybe swap out Burroughs (Ahl lifer) for the other Sebastian Aho, who played well in NHL last year and in an AHL all star this year. A first , Aho and Koivula for a Duchene rental is reasonable

I don't do this trade without one of Beauvillier, Bellows, Dobson, Wahlstrom, Pulock or Wilde coming back

Senator fans are going to be underwhelmed by the return on a Duchene rental

For the Isles-Duchene deal, WHo are the two cap dumps? The deal has the Isles only two center prospects going, which is the weaklink of the pipeline. Kyle Burroughs is blocked at the moment but projects to be a tweener Dman. The Islanders still have 5 open spots on ther 50 and 26 on thier 90.
